Teleen's Journal

Read a post-COE story that wasn't a fix today.  It was well done, wonderfully plotted and generally a cool piece of fluff.  Hell, Jack wasn't even in it - it was completely about secondary characters. 

And I couldn't enjoy it.  Even though the story was utterly lovely and beautifully done, it left me completely cold.  Even though Ianto wouldn't have even BEEN in the story anyway because of what it was about, not even having him alive in the background made it 'bleh' to me.  

( Cut for length and what will probably be seen as Gwen-bashing even though I honestly don't mean it that way.  )

I'm going to watch the new Torchwood, because I like TV and it's on TV.  

But I'm not going to love it without Ianto, and you can't make me.

Actually, if you want to be REALLY technical, I'm not going to love it without TOSH and Ianto and you can't make me.  

Tosh was a great female character and they shit on her.  She was everything that I think a female lead should be.  Smart, funny, tough, uncompromising in her integrity and a genuinely good person.  They took that and had her fall in love with a RAPIST and it was star-crossed love (to say the least) from the start.

Fail.

IMHO.
