Well, kids, it's official:

My muse is on holiday.  Right now I owe 23,000 words in total for the $230 my bidders donated for flood relief.  The biggest chunk is a 20,000 word Perfect Storm sequel which I've started, but which right now is made of utter suck.  I know what I want to say and how I want it to go, but my fingers don't want to make the connection from my brain to the page.

I'm starting to wonder if my anti-anxiety medication isn't affecting my ability to write?  )
So do any of you have any ideas for jump-starting a stalled muse?  I'll take anything, :).
This is just an FYI for all of those who only wanted the fiction and instead got teleen, ;).

I realize that it's been a while since I've actually posted a story here, that lately it's been filled with politics and offline life stuff.  I also owe stories to several people, both from the flood relief auction and my holiday season offers.

All I can say is that several stories have roughs, they just aren't done yet.  In a couple of cases, I don't have confirmation and/or prompts, so I haven't started yet and finally, my muse has been on vacation.

Where she's gone is anyone's guess, but while she's been away, ideas have been percolating.  They just haven't had the bridge from my head to my fingers, :).

That said, I am still writing and thinking about stories, so the 'fiction' part of [livejournal.com profile] teleen_fiction  will eventually come back.  If you're bored with my ranting and only friended me for the porn, I don't mind if feel you need to de-friend me to keep the politics off your friends' list.  Consider this a 'feel free to drop me with no questions or complaints' card, :).

I may not cross-post every story to every community on LJ, but I do post them all to A Teaspoon and an Open Mind, so if you want to subscribe to me as an author there, that will ensure that you only get the porn and none of the extras.

No hard feelings, in any case and happy reading! :)

Since I can't buy you all gifts (no matter how much I'd love to), I'm going to write ficlets instead.

Please use the Prompt Me, Please guidelines (which have been expanded) and I'd really love it if you prompted me there instead of here.  In fact, I'm going to be horrible and disable comments on this post so that all comments go there instead of here, :).

Note: Those who have already been promised ficlets in the past are first in line for this (I think I still owe about half a dozen).

Happy Holidays, everyone - I'll look forward to writing, :).

I further promise that I haven't forgotten.  I've just been a little down lately and not writing much.  When I'm back on my upswing, it will be written, :).

Thanks to everyone who's prompted me for various reasons lately - I really like writing those ficlets when my brain lets me, :).

Dreaming )
Believe it or not, I've almost run out of prompts, :).  So if you missed this, please head on over and give me one, :).

To date, I've posted 15 ficlets for this challenge specifically (16 since it started), have two more sitting on my Desktop that will be posted when I'm more awake, and have about six or eight still waiting in the wings.  If that sounds like a lot still to be done, keep in mind that I've written 18 total just since August 29.

Moral of the story: I like writing ficlets.  I like getting prompts for ficlets.  I'm not quite tired of this yet, so taking advantage of me while you have the chance is to the good.  Honestly, I'm seriously considering making the original post a permanent one on my journal so that anyone can participate, but we'll see, :).

Please keep in mind, if I've already written one for you, I'll let you give me another one, but your prompt automatically moves to the back of the line until I'm done with all of the others, :).  Still, if you don't mind waiting, feel free to give me another, :).

If I've told you that your prompt is eating my brain and will take longer, feel free to give me an 'easier' one (generally one word is easy - more than one word is hard, heh).  I'll still attempt to do the original, but this will give you something now if you don't want to wait, :).

And for those who are curious, a new chapter of The Perfect Storm WILL be posted this weekend.  It's complete and beta'd - I just need to find the time to do all of the cross-posting.

The ficlets have also been helping me to get the creative juices flowing for me to finally write the end, :).  To all those who've been so great and patience with my lax posting of late, I can only say thank you, :).  And offer a ficlet for being so nice to me, :).

Fandom: Torchwood
Pairing: Jack/Ianto
Spoilers: None.

Kinks: BDSM
Rating: All Ages

A/N: Written for [livejournal.com profile] siege_ofcahoots, who decided to be difficult, ;), when she prompted me:  "dom!ianto - then you open a book, any book and point to a couple of words at random and go from there."  I picked a book without looking at the shelf.  It was "Lace" by Shirley Conran (which is, for the record, the only 'romance' novel in my house) and then picked two words on different pages.  They were, "suggest" and "painfully".  Hope you like what I came up with, :).
