Mrs. Palin, STFU

Sarah Palin is a moron who doesn't study history and never considers her words before speaking.  She needs to sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up and go the fuck back to Alaska where she can cause as little damage as possible.  She makes me embarrassed to be a human being and I hope this puts the final nail in her political coffin.  Oh, anyone who even thinks of telling me that I'm somehow anti-feminist because I'm telling a woman to 'sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up', fuck you too.  I'm not telling her to STFU because she's female - I'm telling her to STFU because she's a dangerously stupid tool of the GOP who never needs to be heard from again.

You know, after what Jon Stewart said on Monday, I was ready to leave Mrs. Palin alone.  Now, not so much, sigh.

In her most recent video, she decided that 'blood libel' would be an appropriate way to describe the media's vilification of her after the AZ shootings.  Jewish leaders are understandably upset, which has caused Mrs. Palin to apologize and take down the video. 

Too little, too late.

She used a term without understanding what it meant and is apologizing after the fact.  Fuck her.  Fuck her apology.  Fuck her for not knowing the history.  Fuck her for now trying to find a "less offensive alternative."

To be 100% fair, I'd never heard the term 'blood libel' before Mrs. Palin used it today.  However, regardless of whether she knew the historical implications or not, using a term with the word 'blood' in it after a tragedy like this is the definition of missing the fucking point. 

She should have apologized for putting up the fucking crosshairs, but no, she had to turn people rightly criticizing her for that into 'blood libel'.  She couldn't just say, 'Sorry, that sort of imagery was inappropriate.  I shouldn't have called them bulleyes, nor should I have kept saying, 'Don't retreat, reload'."  No, that would have been an admission of guilt and one thing no one in the GOP can ever do is admit they're wrong.  

Fuck Sarah Palin.  Fuck her and the failboat she sailed in on.

I'd heard the term "blood libel" before, but I had no idea it was tied to anti-semitism. I thought it had something to do with the concept of wergeld aka "blood money".

I wouldn't be surprised that Sarah Palin didn't know the origins of the phrase, but, her people should. Only, something tells me she doesn't hire the cream of the crop there.

U mean individuals who are not Hetro county as people. I was so sure they did not fit in to her idea of moral humans, so why would her kids tone not reflect what she has taught them at home. ( rolling my eyes as I say this and think how can folk treat others like they non-people.)

Exactly. The kids reflect what the parents think and behave. And the parents don't even try to teach what it's like to walk in another person's shoes and see what life is like for people who are different.

And apparently I'm extra sensitive to that term, but I honestly didn't realize that blood libels were such unknown occurrences that people don't know the history of the term.

She's like Snooki from Jersey Shore. A train wreak. It just keeps getting worse and worse. Palin is showing her backwards ignorance for anything that isn't strictly American in nature and even then only acknowledges the parts that she likes. People like her should have their children taken away. Perhaps that's too strong but, as said by those much better than I, "hate" is not a family value.

Y'know, for once I'm going to say, no, no that's not to strong. She's teaching her kids that using anti-gay slurs is okay and that it's also okay to co-opt Jewish history to turn yourself into a victim.

Too bad there's no license to be a parent and even if there were, you'd be able to buy one, :(.

I'd love to have children, but just haven't had the opportunity and yet someone like her gets to have five that she can raise like this.

Unfortunately, smart people aren't having children right now, so I really think our species is breeding dumber, :(.

Oh, I agree. My Primary Care Physician and her husband (both M.D.s) aren't having kids because they're 'smart enough to know that kids are a responsibility they aren't up to.' The smart ones of us are too smart to bring kids into this world and the dumb ones don't know any better or it's part of their pop-culture to be a single mother at the age of 16. Here's where not teaching and having birth control readily available comes and bits us in the ass.
