Captain Jack Harkness =/= Slut

This was originally posted elsewhere.  I'm re-posting it here because I feel like it, :).   I've also edited it slightly from the original.  The font sizes may still be screwed up in here - I did my best to fix them, but oh well, :(.  Everything from the end of this sentence to the last ETA is cut-and-pasted with only slight edits. 

Dear Torchwood/Doctor Who fandom at large:

Leave Brittney alone.  Stop calling Jack Harkness a slut.  Or a man-whore.  Or any other negative term for his being both omni-sexual and promiscuous.  Seriously, stop it.  Actually, it would be wonderful if everyone on Earth could stop using the word slut to describe anyone, anywhere, but this one's specifically about Jack, :).  Also, long rant is long.  

There is a mention of rape in here, but no graphic descriptions.

ETA:  After this was originally posted, the reviewer contacted me and we had a nice conversation about this.  It was a poor word choice, not an actual opinion, :).  I've screened the original comment to protect her privacy and will only unscreen it with her express permission.  Also, I'd like to apologize to her for bringing this up again - I was actually going to repost this with the original comment taken out, but I realized that a lot of it wouldn't make sense without it.  

The reason I'm posting it here is because the subject's come up a few times recently and I wanted to be able to link to it here, :).
