Her Name Was Christina Taylor Green

9-year-old shooting victim was an aspiring politician.  Her name is the only one I want to remember out of all of this.

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin's handlers have been frantically scrubbing her Facebook page of any comments that show the half-Governor in a bad light.

Except this one[livejournal.com profile] box_in_the_box says it all far better than I ever could, :(.

There's a lot of shame to go around here, :(.

I'm so effing sick.

A little girl is dead and so are others, and they say it's better because she won't have chance to become the sort of politician they don't like?

Sick. Just sick.

Yeah, it made me want to scream and throw things, :(.

Oh MY GAWD!
Hi Teleen, sorry I've been invisible lately. In fact I just now Monday latenight, caught up on this story and sure I was unhappy that anyone, especially a kid, was caught up in this. Then I saw the part about the comment on Sarah Palin's site... NOW I'm pissed off. and I noticed such glaring illogics that it hurt...
1) that the poster is capable of putting their reasonable human emotions long enough to put such a heinous remarks about an innocent kid bystander -- are they praising the shooter for killing a kid!?
2) that anyone equates bleeding heart liberals with Hitlerians
3) I suspect that the poster is anti-abortion, but is fine with killing them at 9 y.o. to abort a theoretical future political stance that may not be true and if it were WHAT WOULD IT MATTER.
guh, I had things 4-9 to be freaked out by, too, but I can't keep thinking about it.

I can mention how the media points out that the suspect was "not politically affiliated" and therefore acted on their own agenda. Isn't that the case with the shooter at the board of education shooting weeks ago, and a few other recent incidents? Lemme ask the readers then; when people who are acting on their own agenda do the same extreme act on an accelerating basis what does it say? Can anyone here tell me what the outbreak of a revolution looks like?

No problem - everyone has lives, :).

1) Yep.

2) The stupid, it burns.

3) Same here.

No kidding, sigh.

I don't want to think about revolutions. I'd like for the revolution to wait until I'm dead of old age, please.

I don't want to think about revolutions either. What I'd really like is for my country to go back to the 70s, 80s, 90s; you know that country I grew up with and loved dearly, that one that mostly kept within the guidelines of it's constitution or at least cared about trying to, but that ain't happ'nin'. So as soon as enough people realize that that's the thing that's missing in their lives I'm afeared that that's the way it might go.
In lighter news I see some info about Sarah Palin's rebuttal against this attack and her trying to smooth things over in the AZ shooter vs. politics thing -- I just want to tell her to sit down. I love that some strong women are trying to step into politics, but I hate that they let themselves be led so astray by the dominant forces of the GOP. So Sarah, just sit down, be quiet, side out rotate.
